Football Rules and Scoring

INDIVIDUAL TEAM ROSTERS
Rosters will consist of 10 players and must include players from at least 2 (two) different NFL teams:

FACTORS
A total of 3 (three) factors must be assigned to each team as follows:

Each factor assigned will act as a multiplier for that individual player. Players assigned a factor will have their raw point totals multiplied by the assigned factor value to calculate their final point total. Negative point totals will count against the final score.

POINT SCORING
Position Players will accumulate positive points as follows:

Position Players will receive negative points as follows:

Kickers will accumulate positive points as follows:

Defense / Special Teams will accumulate positive points as follows:

Defense / Special Teams will accumulate positive or receive negative points as determined by the final game score as follows:

POSITION ELIGIBILITY
Position Players and Kickers: Players will be assigned positions each week according to where they're expected to play. Listed positions are assigned at the sole discretion of Fantasy Factor.

TRADES, FREE AGENT, AND BENCH PLAYERS
Since you only select players for a single series of games or events, there is no trading of players, no free agent pick-up's, or bench players involved in THE CONTESTS.

GAME CANCELLATIONS AND POSTPONEMENTS
In the event that a scheduled game is canceled, preempted, or postponed for any reason, no points will be awarded for players in the canceled, preempted, or postponed game or event. It is the user's responsibility to be aware of possible postponements or cancellations and adjust their teams as required prior to the start of THE CONTEST.

SPECIAL FOOTBALL RULES
Suspended or Shortened Games: Fantasy Factor uses official NFL statistics as provided by The Sports Network and includes all games that the NFL deems to be official and complete. If NFL declares a game "suspended" then the statistics that are generated the day the game is originally scheduled will be used. Any statistics generated on a later date when the game is completed will not be included due to the one day nature of our games.

Double Turnover: In the case of a double turnover, the team defending its' goal will be considered the defensive team whenever it does not have the ball.

Example: Tony Romo of the Dallas Cowboys snaps the ball and attempts a pass which is intercepted by Philadelphia Eagle cornerback Asante Samuel (Philadelphia D/ST). During the interception run back, Samuel fumbles the ball. The fumbled ball is recovered by Dallas and returned for touchdown. The scoring would be as follows:
Philadelphia D/ST receives +1PT for the initial interception.
Dallas D/ST receives +1PT for the fumble recovery and +6PTs for the touchdown.

ROSTER DEADLINES
CONTESTS will close approximately five minutes before the start of the first game included in THE CONTEST. You can edit your roster as many times as you like before THE CONTEST closing time, but all rosters are set and final after a game locks.

Football CONTESTS that offer live scoring and standings updates are strictly for the enjoyment of our users. However they are not official and are for informational purposes only. Official scores and results will be posted at the conclusion of THE CONTEST.
